Puerta Princessa an Underground River in Philippine

Puerto Princessa is located in Puerto Princesa Town, Philippine This amazing beautiful corner was one of my favorite underground river. beside known as puerto princessa river this beautiful place was also called as Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park or St. Paul’s Subterranean River National Park.

This Underground river was also included into the new 7 world wonders last year, You can reach this beautiful underground river about 50 Km(30 mi) north of the city centre of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines.

Puerta Princessa Underground river has a limestone karst mountain landscape with a 8.2 kilometer navigable underground river. A distinguishing feature of the river is that it winds through a cave before flowing directly into the South China Sea. It includes major formations of stalactites and stalagmites, and several large chambers make it really complex cave system. The lower portion of the river is subject to tidal influences.

Until the 2007 discovery of an underground river in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River was reputed to be the world’s longest underground river, The second Narrower underground river and also one of the most beautiful river on the world today.

Tourists can also do some other activities such jungle trekking, hanging out, hiking, birds watching or exploring the deeper part of the forest.

This Underground river should be on your first destination list If you visit Philippines especially on Puerto Princessa Town.
